PAN PACIFIC PEACE GARDENS

Public BBQ

Tucked away in Redbank, this delightfully unexpected pocket of tranquility offers more than your average barbecue stop. The centerpiece ponds teem with waterfowl who've clearly made themselves quite at home, while decorative dragons add a whimsical touch to the landscaping. The walking paths meander gently around the water features - perfect for working up an appetite before firing up the barbecue facilities. Clean toilet blocks are conveniently positioned, though you'll barely notice them amidst the serene setting. The fish population appears rather robust; perhaps too robust, as one might say. It's the sort of place where you'll find yourself lingering longer than planned, watching the water birds and contemplating whether you remembered to pack the sausages.
